• Recent, hands-on experience leading large-scale data transformation programs.

Are you an experienced Program Manager with a strong track record in large-scale data transformation? Do you know how to bring together technology, data governance and business change across multiple countries and turn a complex transformation into measurable business value?

At Mediq, we are looking for a Program Manager Data to lead the end-to-end delivery of one of our major international data transformation programs. You will work across regions, functions and technology domains and bring together business leaders, data specialists, engineers, architects and external partners around one integrated transformation roadmap.

This is a senior Group IT role. You will lead a large multidisciplinary program team in a matrix environment and take ownership of delivery from mobilization through implementation and benefits realization.

As Program Manager Data, you provide the leadership that brings all these elements together.

You translate strategic ambitions into a clear, phased roadmap and ensure that data platform development, migration, governance, master data, BI and analytics move forward as one integrated program.

You are the bridge between the Program Board, business sponsors, workstream leads and IT delivery teams. Your focus is not simply on delivering technology, but on ensuring each phase creates tangible and measurable business value.

What will you do?

You will take end-to-end responsibility for the delivery of a complex, multi-workstream and cross-border data transformation.

Your Key Responsibilities Include

• Defining and maintaining the integrated program roadmap, phases, milestones and dependencies across all workstreams.
• Leading day-to-day program delivery and actively managing the critical path and sequencing between workstreams.
• Ensuring each phase delivers tangible business value before moving into the next stage.
• Leading complex data transformation initiatives covering areas such as data platforms, data migration, data governance, master data and BI consolidation.
• Ensuring data ownership, governance and data‑quality topics are resolved as an integral part of delivery rather than deferred until later.
• Bringing together architecture, data engineering, IT delivery and business change to modernize Mediq's data and analytics landscape.
• Managing the program budget, forecasting and cost control and safeguarding the underlying business case and benefits.
• Proactively identifying and managing risks, issues, dependencies and escalations.
• Running the Data Program governance cadence in line with Mediq standards, tooling and reporting frameworks.
• Acting as the primary point of contact for the Senior Responsible Owner, sponsors and Program Board.
• Aligning Business and IT stakeholders across regions and functions on priorities, scope and common definitions.
• Providing clear executive‑level reporting, recommendations and decision support.
• Leading and motivating a matrixed program team consisting of workstream leads, engineers, business representatives and external partners.
• Establishing scalable ways of working and creating a strong culture of ownership and delivery accountability.

Managing partners and vendors

A transformation of this scale requires close collaboration between Mediq's internal expertise and external technology and implementation partners.

You manage external partners and vendors against contracts, SLAs and quality standards and ensure that external build capacity remains governed by Mediq's internal IT organization and aligned with the overall program.

Together with Sourcing, you will also lead vendor selection processes, including RFI/RFP design, evaluation, scoring and timeline management.

What do you bring?

You are a senior Program Manager who understands both the complexity of enterprise‑wide transformation and the specific challenges involved in transforming a fragmented data landscape.

You do not need to be the Data Architect or Data Engineer yourself, but you have enough recent and hands‑on data transformation experience to challenge specialists, understand dependencies and make informed decisions.

At the same time, you are able to translate technical complexity into clear choices, risks and business impact for executive stakeholders.

We Are Looking For Someone Who Brings

• A Bachelor's or Master's degree in IT, Business, Engineering or a related field.
• Approximately 10 to 15 years of experience managing complex IT and business transformation programs.
• Recent, hands‑on experience leading large-scale data transformation programs.
• Demonstrable experience with data platforms, migration, data governance and BI/analytics transformation.
• A good understanding of modern data architectures such as lakehouse or medallion architectures, data governance and cloud enablement.
• A proven track record delivering multi-workstream, cross‑border programs within complex international organizations.
• Experience working in fragmented, multi‑ERP environments.
• Experience managing multi-million‑euro program budgets and external delivery partners.
• Strong program governance, financial management and business‑case management capabilities.
• The ability to lead large multidisciplinary teams in a matrix environment without relying on formal line authority.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, including credibility with senior and board‑level stakeholders.
• The ability to create structure and maintain momentum in an environment with complexity, ambiguity and competing priorities.
• Experience within healthcare, medical distribution or another regulated industry is advantageous.
• Proficiency in English; Dutch and/or German is an advantage.

Program management qualifications such as MSP or equivalent and project management certifications such as PRINCE2, PMP or PMI are relevant for this role. Experience with SAFe, Scrum or another scaled agile delivery methodology is preferred.

You create alignment across Business, Finance, Data and IT and are comfortable challenging senior stakeholders when decisions or ownership are needed. You identify risks and bottlenecks early and make sure they lead to decisions rather than simply appearing in a status report.

Above all, you maintain a relentless focus on execution and benefits realization - from initial mobilization through migration and implementation to successful adoption.
