Job summary

Mediq is seeking a senior Program Manager Data to lead an international data transformation program across Europe. You will steer end-to-end delivery, including governance, data platforms, migration, and BI initiatives, ensuring alignment with business value goals.

You will bridge business sponsors, IT delivery, data engineering and external partners, translating complex tech detail into strategic choices for executives. This role centers on measurable outcomes and cross-region collaboration.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in IT, Business, Engineering or related field.
Approximately 10–15 years of experience managing complex IT and business transformation programs.
Recent hands-on experience leading large-scale data transformation programs.
Experience with data platforms, migration, data governance and BI/analytics transformation.
Understanding of modern data architectures (lakehouse/medallion), governance and cloud enablement.
Proven track record delivering multi-workstream, cross-border programs in large organisations.
Experience managing multi-million-euro program budgets and external delivery partners.
Strong governance, financial management and business-case management capabilities.
Ability to lead large multidisciplinary teams in a matrix environment without direct line authority.
Excellent stakeholder management and communication with senior/board stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Define and maintain the integrated program roadmap, milestones and dependencies across all workstreams.
Lead day-to-day program delivery and manage critical path and sequencing between workstreams.
Ensure each phase delivers tangible business value before moving forward.
Lead data transformation initiatives covering data platforms, migration, governance and BI consolidation.
Manage data ownership and quality as part of delivery.
Coordinate architecture, data engineering, IT delivery and business change to modernize data landscape.
Manage program budget, forecasting and cost control; safeguard business case and benefits.
Identify risks, issues, dependencies and escalations; drive mitigation strategies.
Run Data Program governance cadence aligned with Mediq standards and reporting frameworks.
Serve as primary contact for Senior Responsible Owner, sponsors and Program Board.
Align Business and IT stakeholders across regions; provide executive-level reporting and decision support.
Lead matrixed teams and external partners; establish scalable ways of working and delivery accountability.
