Are you an experienced Program Manager who knows how to turn ambitious IT strategies into tangible business results? Do you thrive in complex, international environments where multiple workstreams, countries, senior stakeholders and external partners need to move in the same direction?

At Mediq, we are looking for a Program Manager IT to lead the end-to-end delivery of major strategic IT programs across our international organization. You will provide the leadership and structure needed to turn strategic ambition into phased, governed and measurable business value.

This is a senior Group IT role in which you operate at the intersection of technology, business and transformation. You report to the VP IT and lead multidisciplinary program teams in a matrix organization.

As Program Manager IT, you take end-to-end ownership of major IT programs. You bring together business sponsors, IT teams, workstream leads and external partners and ensure everyone is working towards the same outcomes.

You manage scope, budget, risks and dependencies, but your ultimate focus is on value: ensuring that every phase of the program delivers tangible business benefits.

What will you do?

You will lead complex, multi-workstream IT programs from initiation and mobilization through implementation, handover and benefits realization.

Your Key Responsibilities Include

• Defining and maintaining the integrated program plan, roadmap, phases and milestones across all workstreams.
• Leading day-to-day program delivery and managing the critical path, dependencies and sequencing between workstreams.
• Structuring programs around phased delivery, ensuring tangible business value is realized throughout the program rather than only at the end.
• Managing program budgets, forecasts and cost control and safeguarding the underlying business case.
• Ensuring benefits are clearly defined, tracked and ultimately realized.
• Proactively identifying and managing risks, issues, bottlenecks and escalations.
• Acting as the primary point of contact for the Senior Responsible Owner, business sponsors and Program Board.
• Aligning senior business and IT stakeholders across countries and functions on scope, priorities and decisions.
• Providing clear executive-level reporting and decision support to senior leadership.
• Managing scope, change control and acceptance criteria across multiple workstreams.
• Coordinating architecture, IT delivery and business change to ensure solutions deliver the intended outcomes.
• Ensuring a structured transition from program delivery into business-as-usual operations.
• Leading and motivating a multidisciplinary matrix team of workstream leads, project leads, IT professionals and external partners.
• Establishing consistent and scalable ways of working and creating a strong culture of ownership and delivery accountability.

Managing partners and vendors

External technology and implementation partners can play a significant role within our programs. You ensure these partnerships contribute to the outcomes Mediq needs rather than simply delivering against individual contracts.

You manage vendors and external delivery partners against contracts, SLAs and quality standards and ensure external capacity remains governed by Mediq's internal IT organization.

Together with Sourcing, you also lead vendor selection processes, including RFI/RFP processes, evaluation, scoring and decision-making.

You are a senior Program Manager who combines strong delivery discipline with leadership and business judgment. You are comfortable taking responsibility for a large and complex program and creating clarity when multiple countries, functions, systems and stakeholders are involved.

You can discuss delivery details with workstream leads and, in the next meeting, explain risks, decisions and business impact clearly to executive stakeholders.

We Are Looking For Someone Who Brings

• A Bachelor's or Master's degree in IT, Business, Engineering or a related field.
• Approximately 10 to 15 years of experience managing complex IT and business change programs.
• A proven track record of delivering multi-workstream, cross-border programs within complex, multi-country organizations.
• Experience managing multi-million-euro program budgets.
• Experience managing external implementation and technology partners.
• Broad experience across the complete IT program lifecycle, from initiation and mobilization through implementation and benefits realization.
• Strong knowledge of program governance, budgeting, business-case management, risk management and phased delivery.
• The ability to lead and motivate large multidisciplinary teams in a matrix environment without relying on formal line authority.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, including credibility with senior and board-level stakeholders.
• The ability to manage complexity, ambiguity and competing priorities while maintaining a strong focus on execution.
• Experience driving transformation within an international, acquisition-grown organization is highly relevant.
• Experience within healthcare, medical distribution or another regulated industry is advantageous.
• Proficiency in English; Dutch and/or German is an advantage.

Program management qualifications such as MSP or equivalent and project management certifications such as PRINCE2, PMP or PMI are relevant for the role. Experience with SAFe, Scrum or another scaled agile delivery methodology is preferred.
