NovoServe | Serving your data is seeking an IT Procurement Specialist to manage end-to-end procurement for servers and network hardware across our Dutch and international data centers. You will lead supplier selection, negotiate terms, and ensure contracts comply with laws and our long-term strategy.

You will work with internal stakeholders to align procurement with business objectives, maintain the contract register, and assess suppliers for information security and commercial performance.

At NovoServe, we are looking for an experienced IT Procurement Specialist with deep knowledge of bare metal server and network hardware.

About NovoServe

NovoServe delivers hosted dedicated servers from multiple data centers in the Netherlands. We are a fast-growing company with an informal atmosphere and international ambitions. We invest heavily in automation to be able to scale up quickly and provide our customers with optimal service. To make our rapid growth possible, we develop our own systems for IaaS service delivery. We manage an international network that supports more than 7,000 physical servers, offers 18 Tbps of external connectivity, and has dozens of peering partners. Our network infrastructure is spread across 8 data centers on two continents, which ensures high availability, resilience, and a global reach.

Core of the function

As a Procurement Specialist, you are responsible for the full procurement process for our servers and network equipment: from the needs assessment up to and including contract management. You work on an international level for our data centers in the Netherlands, the United States, and Denmark.

You maintain and strengthen sustainable relationships with our most important suppliers and stay informed about new, emerging players.

You take the lead in supplier selection and the contracting process. In doing so, you not only ensure the best commercial conditions but also guarantee that all agreements comply with current laws and regulations and our long-term strategy.

In addition to procurement, you are the driving force behind our contract management. You manage the contract register, allowing us to decide in a timely manner whether to renew or to switch to another supplier.

You do not do this alone; you work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure that procurement perfectly aligns with the business objectives. Together with Portfolio management, you identify market and price developments and risks, and you take appropriate measures. Additionally, together with internal experts, you organize periodic supplier assessments, for example in the areas of information security, risk management, and commercial performance.

This is how you recognize yourself:

You are a Procurement Specialist with a background in both technology (hardware) and commerce. You have a proven track record in procurement processes, preferably specializing in networking and data center equipment. Wit h your strong communication skills, you know how to negotiate effectively with vendors and collaborate seamlessly with internal stakeholders.

• You possess a Bachelor’s degree (HBO) level of professional and intellectual ability, preferably supplemented by several years of relevant experience in a similar role.
• You have extensive knowledge and experience in vendor management and the procurement of networking and data center infrastructure.
• You maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant laws and regulations.
• Experience with ISO 27001 and its specific information security requirements within the procurement process is a significant advantage.
• You are fluent in both Dutch and English.
