About the Role
Procurement Manager responsible for administering and leading competitive bidding processes (RFPs), negotiating commercial terms (pricing and contractual), proposal analysis, commercial reports issuance, and evaluating and selecting suppliers in accordance with company policies, primarily in the areas of design, construction and operational commodity purchases for company facilities.
Responsibilities
- Managing multiple procurement projects at one time
- Formulating requests for proposal/quotations/information, bid analysis, tenders, and risk evaluations; coordinating development of technical specifications
- Administering and leading cross‑functional teams through the competitive bidding process
- Directing supplier negotiations and selecting suppliers in accordance with company policies
- Collaborating with the construction management department to interpret schedules and synchronize the purchasing of materials, equipment, supplies, and furnishings to support scheduled work
- Strategically sourcing equipment and services using a variety of methods to ensure uninterrupted supply
- Evaluating and selecting suppliers based on their ability to deliver goods/services and meet budgetary expectations
- Negotiating construction contracts to minimize operational, legal, and financial risks, in collaboration with internal and external legal counsel as needed
- Tracking material/service costs and supplier performance using approved metrics and tools
- Analyzing trends and making sourcing decisions accordingly
- Maintaining regular contact with suppliers
- Leading and/or participating in meetings with suppliers to resolve issues and ensure understanding of requirements and expectations
- Performing work according to departmental KPI goals
- Performing other duties as may be assigned
Qualifications
- Solid understanding of technical procurement for data centers, power systems, or complex industrial infrastructure.
- Demonstrated ability to manage project‑based procurement across multiple stakeholders and locations.
- Familiarity with compliance, environmental, and safety requirements in technical procurement.
- Strong verbal and written communication in English; ability to communicate with engineering teams and technical suppliers.
- High proficiency in Excel and office suite.
- Experience with ERP systems—Oracle NetSuite or similar (preferred).
- Ability to travel as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Procurement, Supply Chain, Construction Management, or related field.
- Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in heavy construction, data center infrastructure, utility‑scale procurement, or mission‑critical environments.
- Experience sourcing equipment from global OEMs, working with factory acceptance testing (FAT), and managing long‑lead procurement cycles.
- Familiarity with European procurement regulations and cross‑border logistics.
