Job summary

Shaw Daniels Solutions is seeking an experienced IT Field Service Engineer to provide hands-on support across multiple sites, ensuring users and devices remain operational. You will handle hardware deployments, upgrades, and project delivery while delivering excellent customer service.

The role requires strong Windows support, knowledge of Microsoft 365, and a willingness to travel regularly across the Netherlands, Belgium, and Germany.

Qualifications

• Minimum experience in IT Field Service or desktop support.
• Strong Windows desktop/laptop support experience.
• Experience with ticketing and service management systems.
• Willingness to travel and participate in on-call rota.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site support for desktops, laptops, printers, and peripherals.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and connectivity issues.
• Install, configure, maintain, and replace IT hardware and software.
• Assist with user onboarding, account setup, and access requests.
• Support IT rollouts, hardware refreshes, and infrastructure projects.
• Maintain accurate ticketing, asset, and documentation records.
• Participate in an out-of-hours on-call support rota when required.

Overview

Our clients are seeking an experienced IT Field Service Engineer to provide hands-on support across multiple sites, ensuring users, devices, and IT systems remain operational, secure, and fit for business needs. The role will support day-to-day IT issues, hardware deployments, infrastructure upgrades, and project delivery while providing excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide on-site support for desktops, laptops, mobile devices, printers, and peripherals.


• Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and connectivity issues.


• Install, configure, maintain, and replace IT hardware and software.


• Support user onboarding, account setup, and access requests.


• Assist with IT rollouts, hardware refreshes, and infrastructure projects.


• Maintain accurate ticketing, asset, and documentation records.


• Participate in an out-of-hours on-call support rota when required.


• Previous experience in an IT Field Service, Desktop Support, or End User Support role.


• Strong Windows desktop and laptop support experience.


• Good knowledge of Microsoft 365 applications and services.


• Hardware troubleshooting and break/fix experience.


• Experience working with ticketing and service management systems.


• Excellent customer service and communication skills.


• Ability to work independently across multiple sites.


• Full driving licence and willingness to travel regularly.


• Knowledge of ITIL service management practices.


• Experience supporting laboratory, healthcare, manufacturing, or other regulated environments.


• Relevant Microsoft, CompTIA, ITIL, or similar certifications.
