Job description

Amsterdam, with site work across the Netherlands, Ireland and Northern Ireland· Six months from 21 September 2026, with the option to extend to twelve· Paid, with travel and accommodation covered for site work.

Own a real project inside a European platform being built right now.
About One Frio

One Frio buys strong family-owned cold storage and transport businesses across Europe and runs them as one group. Seven acquisitions since 2024, sites across the Netherlands, Ireland and Northern Ireland, and more deals in progress. We are backed by Aermont Capital. We store, handle and move temperature-controlled food for producers, retailers and food service businesses.

The group is two years old. Systems, standards and ways of working are being set now, and the central team is small enough that the work you do lands on the executive team’s desk rather than three layers below it.

The NextGen programme

Applications are open for the first NextGen cohort, starting September 2026.

For six months you sit inside the business and own a project that is already on the company’s agenda, with a defined output and a deadline. A named sponsor from the senior leadership team backs the work. A track lead runs your development. In month six you present your results to the executive team.

Strong performers can extend for a further six months. Permanent roles are considered at the end of the programme.

Find your path

Six tracks. Rank two of them when you apply and we will match you to one, subject to availability in the cohort:

  • Finance and Investments. Acquisitions, reporting and investment appraisal.
  • Commercial, Marketing and Brand. Customers, pricing and how the group presents itself in the market.
  • Operations and General Management. Site performance, productivity and the running of cold store operations.
  • Data and Technology. Group systems, data and management reporting.
  • Real Estate and Development. Expansion projects, automation and new site appraisal.
  • People and Organisation. Reward, HR systems and recruitment.
What we are looking for

To apply, you will need to be:

  • Enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s programme, or graduating in 2026 or 2027
  • Available full time for six months from 21 September 2026
  • Fluent in English. Dutch, German or Polish are useful, not required
  • Entitled to work in the Netherlands or Ireland. We do not sponsor work visas for this programme
  • Willing to travel across the Netherlands, Ireland and Northern Ireland, and to work in cold stores at temperatures down to minus 25 degrees
Beyond that, we are looking for people who are:
  • Owners. You have run something to completion and can say what it produced.
  • Analytical. You are comfortable with quantitative work and can defend your numbers.
  • Clear communicators. You write short and lead with the answer.
  • Interested in physical businesses. Warehouses, trucks, energy, supply chains, how operating businesses get built.

We take applications from any academic discipline.

What the programme offers

Here is what you get in return:

  • A paid position, with travel and accommodation covered for site work
  • A named sponsor from the senior leadership team and a weekly review with them
  • One defined project with a measurable output, presented to the executive team in month six
  • A monthly session with an executive or an outside operator on how acquisitions get done and integrated
  • Site visits across the group during the programme
  • Consideration for a permanent role at the end of the programme
