Job description

Interim Implementation and Process Coordinator Partnership Unit

Plaats The Hague

36-40 hours per week | The Hague | September 2026 – June 2027

Are you strong in creating structure, keeping complex processes on track and supporting clear communication during organizational change? The Partnership Unit is looking for a temporary Implementation and Process Coordinator to support the Unit Lead during the implementation of the new organizational structure. In this role, you will monitor planning, risks, decisions and follow-up, support communication and employee engagement, and document lessons and process improvements for the new organization.

Where are you going to work?

You will work in the Partnership Unit within the International Assistance division of the Netherlands Red Cross. The Partnership Unit is entering an important transition phase. In 2026, a new organizational structure was developed, to be implemented from 1 January 2027. The coming period will focus on careful implementation, continuity of services to partner countries, clear communication, employee engagement and a well-managed change process.

You will report to the Unit Lead Partnership Unit and work closely with management, HR and colleagues involved in the implementation process. The role is temporary and focused on supporting a structured, transparent and predictable implementation process.

In this role, you act as a process coordinator and advisor to the Unit Lead. You help ensure that the implementation process is well structured, transparent and predictable. Your core tasks are to:

  • Coordinate the implementation process by monitoring the planning, phasing, milestones, dependencies and key decision moments.
  • Monitor progress, risks, bottlenecks, capacity issues and workload concerns, and advise the Unit Lead on follow-up where needed.
  • Coordinate implementation activities between management, HR and involved colleagues, including tracking agreements, action points and go/no-go moments.
  • Support clear communication, employee engagement and feedback moments throughout the implementation period.
  • Document existing process bottlenecks, lessons learned, role clarifications and improvement opportunities so these can be handed over to the new organization.

This role does not include line management responsibilities, personnel decisions, determining the final organizational design, developing alternative organizational scenarios, representing specific function groups or interests, or replacing the Unit Lead, PSC, PDC or RR roles.

We value diversity – in background and experiences. We need people with various cultural backgrounds, religions, sexual orientations, gender identities, and age groups to fulfill our mission.

We are looking for a colleague who can create structure in a complex organizational environment and who works in an independent, connecting and process-oriented way.

You bring:

  • Experience with implementation, change or reorganization processes.
  • Experience with process coordination, planning and follow-up of actions and decisions.
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills, including the ability to identify and document process improvements.
  • Excellent communication skills and experience with stakeholder management.
  • The ability to work independently while building trust, alignment and engagement across teams.
  • Helping is in your DNA.

Your talents (competencies):

  • Structured and reliable – you bring overview, rhythm and follow-up to a complex process.
  • Analytical – you identify risks, dependencies and improvement opportunities and translate them into practical advice.
  • Connecting – you help create clarity and dialogue between management, HR and colleagues.
  • Clear communicator – you support transparent communication and ensure questions and feedback are followed up.
  • Independent and process-oriented – you can advise the Unit Lead while keeping a neutral, implementation-focused role.

An interesting job with a unique organization. The organization has an immense international network and a significant impact in the humanitarian sector. The work you do is socially relevant and makes an impact, which sometimes means an impact on yourself. Therefore, we care about your well-being and provide tools to find a good balance. We are a flexible and people-oriented work environment with room for initiative and development.

The salary for this position falls within scale 10 as mentioned in the collective agreement, depending on experience, minimum of € 3.681,06 and a maximum of € 4.962,01 gross per month on the basis of full-time employment. A fixed-term contract for the period September 2026 to June 2027.

Next to your monthly salary you will have a 'personal budget’ at your disposal, of 19,23% of your monthly gross salary. You can use it to withdraw a holiday allowance, extra holidays or an end of year bonus. There are also various additional conditions such as a pension scheme, travel allowance, and good opportunities for personal development. You will also have a laptop and mobile phone at your disposal.

Our office is in the Hague, walking distance from the Laan van NOI station. Like everyone else, you work activity based, partly from home and partly from the office. We regularly meet colleagues on the work floor but also online via Teams to discuss cross functional topics and to stay connected to each other and our networks.

Please note that we may close the vacancy earlier if we receive a sufficient number of suitable applications.

We find it important to ensure the reliability, professionalism, and integrity of our organization and (future) employees. Integrity screening is a standard part of our selection process. This means that a reference check is a standard part of our selection process, and we may also ask for a Certificate of Good Conduct (VOG) depending on the position.
