Job summary

Madras Masala B.V. in Utrecht zoekt een enthousiaste medewerker voor een fulltime functie van 38 uur per week in de catering. Je verantwoordelijkheden omvatten het bereiden van gerechten, kwaliteitsbewaking en begeleiding van assistenten.

Je dient te beschikken over MBO niveau 3 en kennis van basis kooktechnieken. Een sleutelkenmerk van deze rol is dat je stressbestendig en hygiënisch bent. We bieden een boven marktconform salaris volgens de CAO catering en een prettige werkomgeving.

Qualifications

• Kennis van basis kooktechnieken.
• MBO niveau 3 werk- en denkniveau.
• Kennis van producten en menu-samenstelling.

Responsibilities

• Prepareren van ingrediënten en kwaliteitsbewaking.
• Uitvoeren van kooktaken à la minute.
• Begeleiden van assistenten en toezien op veiligheidsnormen.

Job Description and Tasks:

Employment type: Full-time job / 38 hours per week

Salary indication: €2500-€3250 gross per month excluding holiday pay.

Catering Industry CAO compliant employment conditions

Performing preparatory work such as washing, cutting, (pre) cooking, mixing, stirring, etc.;

Assessing the quality of products/ingredients to be used (freshness, shelf life, etc.), preparing tools;

Executing preparations, monitoring/controlling quality, doneness, taste, color, fluidity, etc., and making adjustments/additions;

Making orders ready to serve by performing à la minute cooking tasks, portioning, and garnishing;

Supervising the work of assistants, providing guidance and instructions;

Ensuring compliance with safety regulations, Occupational Health and Safety, HACCP, and work and presentation methods (house style).

Your Profile

Knowledge and Skills

MBO level 3 work and thinking level;

Demonstrable knowledge of basic cooking techniques;

Knowledge of products/ingredients and (the composition of) the menu.

Language Dutch or English

Quality-oriented:

Stress-resistant:

Remains calm under difficult circumstances or high work pressure;

Recovers quickly from setbacks or disappointment;

Continues to work purposefully even under pressure.
