Job summary

Jatapasu bv in the Netherlands is seeking an Independent Chef I to join our kitchen team. You will assist in preparing dishes and work closely with the kitchen team in a dynamic environment, taking initiative and ensuring a clean, organized kitchen.

We offer full-time 38 hours per week with a gross salary of €2,750 to €3,250, on-site work, training, accommodation, and opportunities for advancement. Flexible day/evening shifts, including weekends.

Qualifications

• Independent initiative and solution-oriented approach.
• Conviction and willingness to take responsibility.
• Demonstrable knowledge of basic cooking techniques.

Responsibilities

• Select and prepare dishes (washing, cutting, mixing, etc.).
• Conduct intermediate checks (doneness, taste, color) and adjust as needed.
• Ensure consistent quality and hygiene.
• Supervise kitchen assistants and correct as needed.
• Keep track of stock levels, order ingredients, and check deliveries.
• Daily cleaning of the work environment, kitchen equipment, and workstations.
• Report technical faults and resolve minor issues.
• Provide input on menu composition, list, and methods.
