Job summary

Monday Merch is seeking a hands-on Technical Lead in Rotterdam to own the technology stack and guide a growing team of engineers across backend, frontend, and infrastructure.

You will translate long‑term goals into actionable tasks, mentor a team including remote members, and drive performance, security, and scalability. The role emphasizes AI-driven development and rapid innovation within a fast-paced scale‑up.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience in frontend and backend.
• Deep expertise in Python (Odoo) and Vue/Nuxt 3.
• Proven leadership with mentoring or managing engineers.
• Strong communication across teams and stakeholders.
• Experience applying AI, automation, and LLMs to development workflows.

Responsibilities

• Lead and build – Set the technical direction while contributing hands-on to key projects across backend, frontend, and infrastructure.
• Turn Strategy into Execution – Translate long-term company goals into daily engineering tasks, ensuring the team moves efficiently towards our vision.
• Mentor and Elevate the Team – Support and coach a team of seven engineers (including remote members).
• Optimize and Scale – Improve performance, security, and maintainability across our tech stack as we scale rapidly.
• Innovate with AI and Automation – Leverage LLMs and automation to enhance productivity and reduce manual coding efforts.
