Job summary

C Teleport is seeking a hands‑on Engineering Manager to lead the Back Office & Integrations squad in Rotterdam. You will set technical direction, contribute production code, and grow the team while coordinating with Product Owner on roadmap and incremental MVPs.

You will balance people management with delivery, ensuring integration work across Planning, HR, Finance, and AI agents lands reliably. This role requires deep .NET/C#, microservices, and modern architectural thinking.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in software engineering with deep, current .NET / C# expertise.
• 2+ years of current, full‑scope people management as an Engineering Manager.
• Strong hands‑on coding background; prefer coding over management detachment.
• Experience with AI coding agents as a daily driver.
• Solid grasp of architectural patterns: SOLID, TDD, DDD, Event Sourcing and CQRS; PostgreSQL and RabbitMQ; microservices and Docker.
• Based in the Netherlands and able to work from Rotterdam office 3 days per week; sponsorship available.

Responsibilities

• Technical leadership: define the squad's direction and deliverables, ensure production-ready outcomes.
• Hands‑on coding, lead reviews, and understand the system deeply.
• Collaborate with Product Owner to shape the roadmap and break work into MVPs.
• Challenge estimates, manage risks, and maintain production stability within SLA.
• Enforce standards and evaluate new tech with Architects Group.
• Line‑manage engineers: regular 1:1s, feedback, and growth paths.
• Handle hiring decisions and performance management.
