Upstaff LTD in Amsterdam is seeking a Strong Junior to Middle Java Backend Developer to contribute to payment processing and financial services applications. You will work with Java, Spring Boot, and microservices in a distributed environment, taking ownership of tasks and ensuring code quality and reliability.

The role covers the full software development lifecycle from implementation to deployment and production support, with a hybrid work model requiring 2 days per week in the Amsterdam

Formación

• Commercial backend development experience with Java.
• Strong knowledge of Java and Spring Boot.
• Understanding of microservice architecture and distributed systems.
• Experience with SQL and/or NoSQL databases.
• Familiarity with automated testing and code quality practices.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and version control.
• Knowledge of Docker and cloud/container orchestration.
• Analytical thinking and collaboration within a development team.

Responsabilidades

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Java and Spring Boot.
• Write maintainable production code and automated tests.
• Refactor and optimize existing code for maintainability and performance.
• Contribute to technical design decisions considering business needs.
• Monitor application health and investigate production issues.
• Support production deployments and track metrics.
• Identify recurring issues and propose improvements.
• Collaborate with engineers and product stakeholders to deliver reliable software.
