Job summary

HireHi in Amsterdam is seeking a backend developer with solid Java and Spring Boot skills to build backend services for customer-facing applications. You will work on microservices and distributed systems, using SQL/NoSQL databases, and contribute to clean, well-tested code with limited supervision.

The ideal candidate has 1–3 years of backend experience, strong communication and problem-solving abilities, and a willingness to learn. A Bachelor's degree or equivalent is required.

• Familiarity with microservices, SQL, and NoSQL databases

Responsibilities

• Build backend services in Java and Spring Boot
• Write clean, reusable, well-tested code with little supervision
• Apply design principles such as SOLID and DRY
• Work with microservices, distributed systems, and SQL/NoSQL databases
• Learn how services are monitored, deployed, and supported in production
• Collaborate with developers, product owners, and the engineering manager
