Job summary

We ARE Renewables seeks an Interim IT Infra Engineer to design and implement secure Linux-based infrastructure supporting a critical LTE-M telecom network for energy grid operators. You will work on server environments, virtualization, networking, and security to ensure reliable communications for critical infrastructure.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in IT Infrastructure Engineering, Linux and server environments.
• Strong hands-on Linux experience, especially RHEL/Ubuntu.
• Windows Server experience is a plus.
• Solid knowledge of virtualization platforms (VMware/Hyper-V/OpenShift).
• Networking concepts: IP, DNS, NTP, routing, segmentation.
• Experience with remote access, IAM, authentication and security controls.
• Desirable telecom, energy, utilities or critical infrastructure background.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement IT infrastructure with emphasis on security, availability, and reliability.
• Configure, test, and maintain Linux server environments and Windows servers.
• Support virtualization platforms such as VMware, Hyper-V, or OpenShift.
• Manage remote access tools including jump servers and bastion hosts.
• Collaborate with architects and suppliers to translate requirements to solutions.
• Document configurations, test results, and operational procedures.
• Prepare environments for operational handover and future management.
