Job summary

International School Hilversum (ISH) is seeking a teacher of Social Studies, History and Theory of Knowledge who inspires creativity and curiosity in students. You will join the I&S Department, teaching across year groups in the International Baccalaureate Programme and co-designing the curriculum.

You will contribute to school life beyond the classroom, with opportunities such as mentoring and involvement in activities like Duke of Edinburgh, MUN and student clubs.

Qualifications

• You have a teaching qualification recognised by DUO.
• You have a master's degree in History, Global Politics or a related field.
• You have experience teaching History and/or TOK at a secondary school level.
• You have experience teaching IB MYP courses.
• You have a multidisciplinary interest and would be keen to get involved in school life beyond just your lessons.
• You live in the Netherlands and have a valid work visa or an EU/Dutch passport.

Responsibilities

• Teach students from different year groups in the International Baccalaureate Programme.

We are looking for a teacher of Social Studies, History and Theory of Knowledge who is interested in triggering students' creativity and natural curiosity. Come and join our Individuals and Society Department which features colleagues from all over the world.
The International School Hilversum (ISH) is a warm and friendly school where we create a home away from home for expats and repats.

You will join the I&S Department and teach students from different year groups in the International Baccalaureate Programme.You are responsible, with your colleagues, for designing the curriculum.

The team is experienced and well established and you will receive guidance and support.We are particularly interested in candidates who wish to contribute to school life, whether as a mentor or by supporting initiatives like the Duke of Edinburgh International Award, MUN, and various student clubs.

Candidate profile

You have a teaching qualification recognised by DUO.
