Job summary

Smart Freight Centre is seeking a hands‑on HR Manager for a maternity cover in Amsterdam. The role focuses on day‑to‑day HR administration, contracts, and compliance, with a strong emphasis on Dutch regulations, maternity leave processes, and HRIS management in Personio.

You will coordinate recruitment, onboarding, and offboarding, support payroll changes, and maintain employee records across the organization. Hybrid work with regular in‑office presence is expected.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in HR Operations/HR Administration or similar role.
• Practical knowledge of Dutch employment regulations and UWV processes.
• Strong experience with HR systems, ideally Personio, and data management.
• Experience coordinating IND visa and residence permit applications.
• Maintaining HR policies, handbooks, and compliance docs.
• Experience coordinating recruitment, onboarding, and offboarding.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate employee records, contracts, and documentation in HRIS and SharePoint.
• Prepare contracts, extensions, salary amendments, and related docs.
• Manage HR processes so records are complete and compliant.
• Support updates to employee policies and internal procedures.
• Administer holiday, maternity, parental, and sickness absence records.
• Coordinate UWV and IND visa activities for international staff.
• Handle onboarding/offboarding, payroll changes, and benefits admin.
• Assist Amsterdam office admin and cross‑functional HR tasks.
