Job summary

GXO Logistics, Inc. is opening a new site in the Amsterdam area, Oude Meer, and is recruiting an HR Advisor to join as the face of HR on site in a standalone role.

Reporting to the HR Manager, this position supports shorter hours and will shape culture, processes and performance at a brand-new site. You will manage recruitment, staffing, training, benefits, employment law, health and safety, and partner with managers and HR to foster an engaged workforce.

Qualifications

  • 3–5 years HR experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in HR
  • Fluent English and B2 Dutch, spoken and written
  • Intermediate Excel skills; HR systems experience beneficial
  • Good understanding of Dutch labour law
  • Experience with a blue-collar workforce
  • Empathetic communicator able to take ownership

Responsibilities

  • Support managers with day-to-day HR activity
  • Cover staffing, training, benefits, employment law, health and safety
  • Partner with managers and HR to support an engaged workforce
  • Manage the HR cycle from recruitment to engagement
  • Support employee relations and act as a link between employees and management
  • Analyse HR data and turn insights into initiatives
  • Implement HR interventions that support performance
  • Ensure compliance with policy, labour law and regulations
  • Coordinate training and coaching for managers
  • Promote engagement and a positive working environment
  • Maintain accurate and confidential HR records
  • Complete HR administration and reporting on time
  • Support safe working and environmental initiatives
