Job summary

Park Plaza Amsterdam Airport, part of PPHE Hotel Group, invites a proactive Housekeeping Management Intern to join our international team. You will support daily operations, inspect rooms, coordinate with Front Office, and help develop leadership and operational skills in a fast-paced hotel environment.

You must be enrolled in Hospitality or related degree, have strong English communication, and a detail-oriented, proactive mindset.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a Hospitality, Hotel Management, Facility Management, or related study programme.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards.
• Strong communication skills in English, written and spoken.
• Proactive, organised, and eager to learn in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in supervising daily housekeeping operations and supporting team activities
• Assist in preparing and inspecting VIP rooms to ensure all amenities, special requests, and presentation standards are met prior to guest arrival
• Support the coordination of room cleaning schedules and housekeeping staff assignments
• Monitor cleanliness, quality, and brand standards in guest rooms and public areas
• Assist with inventory control of linen, guest supplies, and cleaning products
• Coordinate with the Front Office to ensure room availability and guest satisfaction
• Help manage guest requests and follow up on housekeeping-related concerns in a timely manner
• Assist in maintaining health, safety, and hygiene standards throughout the property
• Participate in quality audits and identify opportunities for operational improvement
• Prepare housekeeping reports and administrative documentation as required
• Ensure lost and found procedures are followed accurately and professionally
• Contribute ideas to improve efficiency, guest satisfaction, and team engagement
• Eligibility to complete an internship in the Netherlands

Education

Currently enrolled in Hospitality/Hotel Management/Facility Management or related study programme
