Job summary

Ruby Group’s Amstelkwatiert property in Amsterdam seeks an experienced hospitality leader to drive operational excellence, guest experience, and team development.

You will recruit, onboard and mentor staff while managing budgets and forecasting, aligned with Lean Luxury standards. Fluent Dutch and English are required, with collaboration across clusters and the corporate office to maintain quality and compliance.

Qualifications

• Formal hospitality training or degree required.
• Extensive leadership experience in hospitality or gastronomy.
• Fluent in Dutch and English.

Responsibilities

• Represent the hotel as the go-to person for the team, guests, and partners.
• Recruit, onboard and develop the team while fostering a positive working atmosphere.
• Lead by example as an active part of the team and drive performance.
• Monitor budgets, forecast and control costs with precision.
• Ensure compliance with HACCP, safety, and legal requirements.
• Collaborate with Cluster Manager and Corporate Office to stay aligned.

• represent your hotel as the go-to person for your team, our guests, and external service providers and partners in all matters
• build a strong team by taking charge of recruitment, onboarding, and development while fostering a positive and collaborative working atmosphere

• keep a sharp eye on the numbers, stick to the set budgets, and manage forecasting and cost control with precision

• bring the Ruby Spirit to life by implementing our internal styles and maintaining quality standards.
• work closely with your Cluster Manager and all relevant departments at the Corporate Office to stay aligned and connected

We've Been Waiting For You, Since You Have/are

• completed professional training in the hotel industry and/or hold a degree in hospitality or business administration
• extensive experience in an operational leadership role or a similar position in lifestyle hospitality or gastronomy
• strong knowledge of POS, PMS, and business management.
• a motivating and charismatic leader and with your authentic and loyal nature both team lead and team player
• a warm and welcoming personality and your communication skills allow you to shine in every interaction
• a knack for charming guests, with a hands-on mentality to match
• speaking fluent in Dutch and English
