Job summary

Ruby Group in Amsterdam is seeking a versatile hotel maintenance professional to keep our systems running smoothly and ensure guest comfort.

As a true all‑rounder, you’ll handle repairs, coordinate external providers, and support painting and sealing tasks across our Ruby Emma hotel in Amstelkwatiert, Amsterdam. Fluency in Dutch is preferred; some English helps teamwork with international guests.

Qualifications

• A true all-rounder with solid technical skills and craftsmanship.
• An apprenticeship in HVAC, plumbing or electrical work is a plus, but hands-on experience matters more.
• Several years of professional experience in a similar role are preferred.
• Ability to manage external service providers efficiently while staying on top of things.
• Hand skills across painting, electrical, or plumbing to keep things running smoothly.
• Confident, positive, with a good sense of humor.
• Flexibility to cover occasional weekend or evening shifts.
• Fluent in Dutch; English skills are a plus for teamwork with international guests.

Responsibilities

• Take care of small repairs, touch-ups and maintenance tasks – from dripping taps to squeaky doors.
• Keep an eye on all technical systems and ensure everything runs smoothly.
• Coordinate external service providers and manage facility management coordination.
• Roll up your sleeves for painting and sealing work throughout the hotel.
• Work with Corporate Office in Munich and stay aligned with housekeeping.
• Monitor regular maintenance and safety checks in coordination with Maintenance Manager.
• Order materials needed for work in consultation with Hotel Manager.
