Job summary

Apollo Hotel Amsterdam is seeking a friendly Host to welcome guests and provide information so they feel at home during their stay.

You will assist with check-in, share local highlights, and help guests with requests, ensuring a smooth, personalized experience.

Fluent Dutch and English are required; you should be available for 1–3 nightshifts per week, on-site in Amsterdam, with training and benefits.

Qualifications

• Fluent in Dutch and English; additional French, German, or Spanish is a plus.
• Energetic personality with a guest-first mindset.
• Able to work both in a team and independently.

• Reliable and able to handle stress.

Responsibilities

• Be the point of contact for guests and supply information.
• Assist guests with check-in and highlight must-see city spots.
• Handle room reservations for next week as requested.
• Assist guests with checkout when they are ready.
• Help guests with luggage and offer directions for town.
• Gather guest feedback to ensure a great stay.

ABOUT THE JOB

Are you that person who always goes the extra mile? Does it fulfil you making people happy and do you know exactly how to make guests feel at home? And do you have a service-oriented attitude and mindset? Then you might be the new Host for us !

WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING

You are the point of contact for our guests and provide them with all the information they need. You'll help guests check-in and tell them which highlights they really shouldn't miss. In the meantime, you get a call from a guest who wants to reserve a room for next week. No problem, you will take care of that too. You notice that the next guests are ready to check out, so you help them immediately. You're dying to know how they experienced their time with us. You take their suitcases, so they can hop into town before they leave. They tell you that they will come back for a visit soon. That’s why you do it!

• You are fluent in Dutch and English. Do you also speak (some) French, German, or Spanish? Even better!


• You really put the guest first; you have a service-oriented attitude and a true hospitality mindset.


• You have a great sense of responsibility.


• You are available to work anywhere from 1 to 3 nightshifts per week


• You are enthusiastic and have strong communication skills.


• You are accurate and stress-resistant.


• You have experience in the hospitality.

To be considered for this role, applicants must be an EU citizen or hold a valid work permit for the Netherlands.
