Job summary

NTS is seeking a Production Team Leader in Drachten, Netherlands, to lead a precision production environment for high-quality components used in semiconductor and analytical industries.

You will manage 20–25 employees across multiple departments, drive safety, quality, and delivery, and report to the Production Manager. This role suits a proactive leader with technical insight and strong coaching skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum of vocational level 4 or higher education, preferably with a completed technical education.
• Demonstrable experience in managing (technical) employees.
• Strong leadership and coaching skills.
• Affinity with technology and the high-tech manufacturing industry.
• Decisiveness, entrepreneurship, and sense of responsibility.
• A proactive attitude and a strong drive for continuous improvement.
• Good command of Dutch and English, both written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Leading and developing your team and the underlying departments, including Assembly, Heat Treatment, EDM, and conventional machining;
• Translating departmental policies into concrete team objectives and daily monitoring of planning, quality, and delivery reliability;
• Coaching, guiding, and developing employees, including related HR tasks;
• Monitoring and adjusting performance indicators, such as daily planning realization, quality, and time registration;
• Addressing complex, departmental disruptions and quality issues and ensuring structural solutions;
• Investigating and implementing process improvements to streamline work processes;
• Participating in daily production meetings and coordinating with colleagues from Quality, Work Preparation, Planning, NPI, and Projects.
