Job summary

Just Eat Takeaway.com is seeking a Head of Strategy and Operations - Growth to bridge strategy, execution, and governance with direct C-level exposure. The role starts at head-level and is designed to scale with impact.

You will drive company-wide governance, identify bottlenecks, and evolve the management model while providing CEO-level visibility and actionable frameworks for cross-functional challenges in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in strategy, operations, consulting, or business partnering with demonstrable impact.
• Strong analytical and commercial acumen, comfortable with OKRs, dashboards, and performance metrics.
• Expertise in process design, governance, and organisational effectiveness.
• Exceptional ability to influence and build relationships at C-level without direct authority.
• Track record of diagnosing and solving cross-functional bottlenecks.
• Experience in high-growth, technology, or marketplace businesses highly desirable.
• Consultancy background preferred; PMO or transformation experience beneficial.
• Self-starter guided by company priorities, not local agendas.
• Comfortable navigating between strategic and tactical; thrives in fast-paced, ambiguous environments.
• Based in or willing to relocate to the Netherlands.
• Fluent in English with excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Drive the full strategic planning cycle: from discussions to prioritisation, OKR definition, and budget allocation
• Own company-wide governance, communication, and alignment, avoiding duplication and unnecessary overhead
• Identify red flags early, remove cross-functional bottlenecks, and unblock teams to accelerate execution
• Design and evolve the management model, rituals, and processes as the company scales
• Act as Chief of Staff to C-level stakeholders, influencing decisions and priorities through insight and context
• Provide end-to-end visibility to the CEO on where attention is needed
• Translate complex cross-functional challenges into clear, actionable frameworks

About this role

We’re seeking an exceptional strategic operator to join JET as Head of Strategy and Operations - Growth. This role combines Management Model ownership with a Chief of Staff function, operating at the intersection of strategy, execution, and governance with direct C-level exposure.

This starts as a Head-level role, but it’s deliberately designed to evolve. The more impact this area creates, the more it grows, and so will the person running it.
