Job summary

Maersk seeks a Head of Prevention to lead safety program development, policy implementation and governance at the Maasvlakte site. You will drive risk assessment, audits and continuous improvement across departments, coordinating with HR, operations and leadership to ensure regulatory and client standards are met.

The role requires Dutch/English fluency, strong analytical skills and experience in large, multinational logistics settings, with emphasis on prevention and emergency readiness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree combined with formal prevention education or proven work experience.
• 1+ years’ experience as a certified prevention advisor in contract logistics plus 3+ years in general contract logistics.
• Experience in a multinational organization and working with diverse cultures is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Plan, document, follow up and monitor safety processes and procedures.
• Audit processes and conduct regular workplace safety visits.
• Perform risk analysis and understand risk profiles of activities.
• Develop and maintain prevention and recovery systems and business continuity plans.
• Provide high level recommendations to reduce risks for leadership decisions.
• Investigate accidents and near-misses and coordinate with HR and insurance.
• Advise on workplaces, materials and procedures with line managers.
• Monitor corrective and preventive actions and their effects.
