Job summary

Maersk in Maasvlakte is seeking an experienced HSE specialist to implement safety policies aligned with national law, ISO/TAPA standards and client requirements.

The role focuses on planning and monitoring safety processes, conducting risk analyses, and guiding leaders with preventive actions. You will coordinate with line managers, perform audits, and contribute to the yearly prevention plan while promoting a safe, compliant site.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and prevention education or equivalent experience.
• 1+ years as a certified prevention advisor in contract logistics and 3+ years in general contract logistics.
• Experience in multinational organization; cross-cultural experience is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem solving abilities; good communication in Dutch and English.

Responsibilities

• Plan, document, follow up and monitor safety processes and procedures.
• Audit processes and perform regular workplace safety visits.
• Conduct risk analyses and manage risk profiles.
• Develop and maintain prevention and recovery systems with business continuity plans.
• Provide high level recommendations to reduce risks for leadership.
• Investigate accidents and near-misses with HR involvement.
• Advise on workplaces, materials, instructions with line managers.
• Monitor corrective and preventive actions and share safety info.
• Cooperate in emergency procedures/First aid.
• Manage internal service for prevention and protection.
• Contribute to annual and overall prevention plan.
• Ensure clear process steps; review performance follow-ups.
• Evaluate processes for compliance with quality requirements.
• Develop and perform audits; identify improvement opportunities.
• Monitor dangerous goods licenses and staff trainings; advise when needed.
• Assist with TSR/truck security for customers on site.
• Monitor TSR program.
