Job summary

The Hoxton, Amsterdam is looking for a Head Housekeeper to oversee the housekeeping department across 111 rooms and public spaces. Reporting to the General Manager, you will lead the team, ensure spotless rooms, and uphold The Hoxton standards of service and presentation.

You will train staff, drive continuous improvement, and manage safety, scheduling, and inventory. The role requires hands-on leadership and a passion for hospitality in a dynamic, guest‑centric environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role.
• Strong eye for detail and guests’ expectations.
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
• Proactive in coaching and developing a housekeeping team.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Housekeeping team to ensure spotless rooms and public areas.
• Train the team on SOPs and standards.
• Coach and develop staff, setting clear objectives and providing feedback.
• Collaborate with Front Office and Maintenance for seamless operations.
• Monitor budgets, inventory, and safety procedures.
