Job summary

Studio Automated, based in Amsterdam, is redefining sports and media automation through AI-driven camera systems. We are seeking an experienced Hardware Product Manager to own a full domain of custom solutions, from first request to delivery, reporting to the Head of Hardware.

You will translate venue needs into hardware specs, qualify makers for custom parts, manage quotes, prototypes and testing, and push successful solutions into the standard range while coordinating with sales and operations.

No two venues are the same. From a grassroots pitch to a top-flight stadium, every one needs cameras mounted in exactly the right place. As Hardware Product Manager, you turn those needs into custom solutions that work, match after match.

About Studio Automated

At Studio Automated, we are redefining how the sports and media industry operates through AI-driven camera automation.

Based in Amsterdam, overlooking the IJ, Studio Automated develops intelligent technology that automates the pan, tilt and zoom of cameras for sports productions and media environments. Since 2020, our technology has been scaling rapidly across the globe on edge devices and in the cloud.

Our systems run from affordable Streaming setups that let clubs stream every match automatically, to Broadcast-grade multi-camera and VAR solutions for top-level productions. Our customers range from sports clubs and sports analytics companies to streaming providers and broadcasters, and the number of sports we cover keeps growing.

In April 2026, Studio Automated was acquired by two major players in the market, marking the start of our next growth phase as a scale-up company. The best is still ahead, and it is the perfect time to join during the scaling phase.

We are now looking for an experienced Hardware Product Manager to join our hardware team.

The role

Our hardware team is three people, so you own a whole domain: custom solutions. Our customers often need mounts, housings or setups that don’t exist off the shelf. You don’t need to design them yourself: you find the right partners and creative routes to the best solution, and you take each one from first request to delivery. You will report to the Head of Hardware.

You will:

• Translate customer and venue needs into clear hardware specs
• Find and qualify makers for custom parts, mounts and enclosures
• Request quotes, order samples and negotiate with suppliers
• Run prototyping and testing together with partners
• Bring finished solutions into our standard product range where it makes sense
• Keep sales, integration and operations aligned on timelines and costs

Technical profile

Required:

• Experience turning customer needs into product specifications
• A track record of sourcing manufacturers or makers for custom parts
• Comfortable handling supplier quotes, samples and negotiations
• Experience managing prototyping and testing with external partners

Bonus:

• Basic CAD skills
• Knowledge of AV systems
• Experience with cameras, rigging or broadcast equipment
• Knowledge of manufacturing methods (CNC, sheet metal, 3D printing, injection moulding)
• A network of manufacturers in Europe or Asia

• You like owning a product end to end and making the calls
• You are resourceful and enjoy finding unconventional routes to a solution
• You negotiate firmly but build long-term partnerships
• You communicate clearly with customers, suppliers and engineers
