Job summary
Wundermart, headquartered in Amsterdam, is seeking a Business Controller to partner with the Commercial teams and translate data into actionable insights that drive growth. You will lead budgeting, forecasting and project control for new shop openings while enhancing reporting and financial processes.
This role directly supports international growth and interacts with the Commercial Director and Finance team.
Qualifications
- 3–5+ years in Business Control, Transaction Services, Advisory or similar with commercial focus
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Economics or related field
- Strong analytical skills translating data into actionable insights and management recommendations
- Hands-on, entrepreneurial, proactive with continuous improvement
- Experience building and optimizing reporting, budgeting and forecasting processes
- Comfortable with Excel, financial models and raw datasets for analysis and decision-making
- Experience in optimizing financial data flows with scalable, audit-proof processes
- Confident business partner who communicates well and builds stakeholder relationships
- Thrives in an international scale-up with ownership and collaboration
- Fluent in English; Dutch/German/French a plus
Responsibilities
- Act as trusted finance business partner for Commercial teams, supporting new shop openings, account management and business development with data-driven insights
- Lead budgeting, forecasting and financial performance analysis in collaboration with the Commercial Director
- Own project controlling and commercial reporting, monitor investments, new shop performance and revenue streams
- Build relationships across Finance, Commercial, Data & Analytics and Tech to translate insights into decisions
- Support monthly performance analysis and provide scalable, automated reporting enhancements
