Job summary

MSD Netherlands in Boxmeer seeks an Improvement Engineer to drive process optimization and new product introductions within the IPT Antigen organization. You will lead cross-functional projects, coordinate product transfers, and support investigations to ensure safe, compliant and efficient manufacturing.

Join a team of ~15 engineers focused on continuous improvement, with opportunities to contribute to quality systems and regulatory readiness across a GMP environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in a related field.
• Experience in regulated manufacturing (pharma/biotech/food).
• GMP and/or EHS experience or exposure.
• Lean, Six Sigma or continuous improvement mindset or willingness to develop.

Responsibilities

• Lead cross-functional improvement and transfer projects across IPT.
• Act as Site Transfer Coordinator for product transfers between development and manufacturing sites.
• Support investigations and root-cause analyses with data-driven methods.
• Lead high-impact investigations and implement corrective actions.
• Identify opportunities for process, quality, and operational improvements.
• Develop business cases, project plans and implementation strategies.
• Assess regulatory and GMP requirements on manufacturing processes.
• Contribute to procedures, policies and quality systems.
• Review and approve GMP-related documentation where appropriate.
• Support internal and external inspections and audits.
• Analyze process, batch and performance data to identify trends.
• Contribute to site quality and safety systems, potentially as Sub System Owner.
