Job summary
MSD is seeking an experienced Director Bioprocess Technology Solutions (Site Support) to lead and unify bioprocess technology excellence across Boxmeer, De Bilt and Cologne. You will guide process improvements, oversee technology transfers, and ensure robust supply while aligning with global BTS strategy.
The role requires on-site presence several days a week and close collaboration with R&D, Quality and Manufacturing teams.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in technology / engineering and 10+ years of relevant experience in viral cell culture, fermentation, purification, and vaccine formulation.
- Experience leading complex technical and organizational work in a regulated environment; coaching and talent development.
Responsibilities
- Lead BTS team (~25 employees) and site activities for Boxmeer, De Bilt, and Cologne.
- Drive process improvements and manage technology transfers across sites.
- Ensure regulatory, quality, and EHS compliance; partner with R&D, Manufacturing, and GSC.
