Global Travel & Expenses Leader

Job summary

Nscale seeks a hands-on leader to own global travel and expense operations. You’ll run the team, manage approvals and reimbursements, govern corporate card programs, and ensure data accuracy for month-end, audits and leadership reporting.

You’ll implement policy with consistency across senior leaders, optimize processes, and partner with Treasury and Finance Systems to scale Payhawk, Navan, and other platforms across countries.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in travel and expense operations, including leading a team.
• Hands-on experience with modern T&E platforms such as Payhawk, Navan, Concur, Expensify, Ramp or Brex.
• Solid understanding of month-end close, accruals, reconciliations and GL coding.
• Working knowledge of T&E tax treatment and compliance across the UK, US and Europe.

Responsibilities

• Lead, hire and develop the T&E team, including the open Analyst roles.
• Set a weekly operating rhythm: queue reviews, approvals quality checks, and aging view.
• Plan coverage for holidays and peak periods to avoid stalls.
• Move the team from transactional processing toward exception handling and improvement.
• Own the expense and card approval queue across all entities and T&E mailbox.
• Coordinate reimbursement runs with Treasury across entities and currencies.
• Enforce the card program: issuance, limits, renewals, and offboarding.
• Govern company and purchasing cards and maintain a card register.
• Own global T&E policy and enforce it at all levels; run monthly reporting.
• Run exception process with defined approvers and logs.
