Job summary

Huisman Equipment B.V. is seeking a Control Systems (Field) Engineer to install, service and optimise PLC and SCADA-based controls on equipment delivered worldwide.

You will work with a skilled back-office team and travel to client sites to ensure uptime and safety, while contributing to continuous improvement of standards and processes. The role requires a technical degree and hands-on experience with PLC/SCADA systems, along with a willingness to travel extensively and collaborate with

Qualifications

• MBO 4 / Bachelor / Master’s degree in a technical area (Complex Systems Engineering and Management; Systems & Control; Embedded Systems; Electrical Engineering; Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics)
• Broad technical interest in Control Technology (e.g., PLC programming)
• Experience with PLC, SCADA and networking OT
• Willing to travel and work abroad; 60% travel
• Knowledge in software writing gained by work experience
• The ability to adapt quickly to new requirements

Responsibilities

• Assisting clients in the field and ensuring optimal uptime of equipment
• Acting as Huisman representative, delivering top-notch service and technical support
• Implementing control system modifications to improve functionality and safety
• Servicing, testing and commissioning of Huisman Equipment control systems
• Providing feedback to the development team to improve quality and performance
• Collaborating with software specialists to operate and maintain Huisman’s systems
• Developing innovative solutions and optimisations for control systems
