Job summary

AmbaFlex seeks a Global Service Engineering Manager to set technical standards for our global service organization and connect field insights with Engineering, Innovation and Operations. You own and govern quality across the installed base, drive global standards, and translate field data into reliability and lifecycle improvements.

This role requires international collaboration and travel, with a focus on shaping durable service solutions.

Qualifications

  • BSc degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical discipline, or an equivalent level gained through relevant experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a comparable technical leadership role.
  • Strong technical and business understanding within service, engineering or an asset-intensive environment.
  • Experience working in an international or matrix organization.
  • Broad understanding of production methods, materials and technical systems.
  • Experience with ERP and CAD tools; Autodesk Inventor is preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to turn technical data into actionable improvements.
  • Fluent in English; Dutch is preferred.
  • Willingness to travel internationally.

Responsibilities

  • Own technical quality and reliability across our global installed base
  • Define and continuously improve global Service Engineering standards
  • Drive root cause analysis and permanent solutions for complex and recurring service issues
  • Work with R&D and Product Engineering on Design for Reliability and service readiness
  • Develop lifecycle strategies, including TCO modelling, lifecycle forecasting and rebuild concepts
  • Improve installed base data, connectivity and predictive maintenance capabilities
  • Translate field insights into improvements for products, innovation and service
  • Develop technical capabilities through training, knowledge sharing and coaching of regional teams

At AmbaFlex, thousands of conveyor systems operate every day at customers around the world. Keeping those systems reliable throughout their entire lifecycle requires more than solving technical issues when they occur.

As Global Service Engineering Manager, you set the technical standard for our global service organization and connect what happens in the field with Engineering, Innovation and Operations.

The role

You own and govern technical quality across our global service organization. You set global Service Engineering standards and ensure they are consistently implemented across regions.

Working closely with Regional Service Engineers, R&D, Product Engineering and Operations, you turn insights from our installed base into structural improvements in reliability, serviceability and lifecycle performance.

Your focus is not only on solving today's technical challenges, but on preventing tomorrow's.

You are an experienced technical leader who naturally looks beyond the immediate problem. You combine strong engineering knowledge with a pragmatic, structured and solution-oriented mindset.

You take ownership, make decisions and know how to bring people together across teams and regions. You are comfortable challenging existing solutions and turning technical insights into sustainable improvements.

Your background
  • BSc degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical discipline, or an equivalent level gained through relevant experience
