Job summary

Adyen is seeking a VP of Rewards to lead the strategic planning, development, and implementation of global compensation and benefits programs. The role partners with compensation managers, HR Centers of Excellence, and leadership to build a consistent people experience and drive growth.

The position involves managing executive compensation, equity, and regulatory compliance while guiding a rewards team globally.

Qualifications

  • 10 years of applicable experience in rewards management and compensation programs.
  • Executive compensation and equity administration experience.
  • Experience leading teams of compensation managers.
  • Familiarity with Dutch banking regulations.
  • Knowledge of regulatory needs around compensation (e.g., EBA data, bonus/variable pay cap).
  • Strong analytical and project management skills.
  • Ability to engage with diverse stakeholders.
  • Payments, banking or fintech experience preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a global rewards strategy including base pay, variable pay, and equity.
  • Create a compelling rewards narrative aligned with EVP and DEI initiatives.
  • Design and manage the annual salary review process.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership and HR Centers of Excellence.
  • Oversee executive compensation programs, equity management, and reporting.
  • Lead benefits design and administration (health, retirement, wellbeing).
  • Coach and develop rewards team; drive compliance and regulatory filings.
