Job summary

Fluence is seeking a Quality Engineer to guide issue investigation, resolution, and compliance across design, installation, and service of energy storage products. You will lead cross-functional efforts to ensure high-quality readiness and scalable launches, with emphasis on data-driven decisions and risk management.

The role requires collaboration across global teams and adherence to regulatory quality procedures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related technical field.
• 1-3+ years in quality, engineering, or operations roles within manufacturing or energy sectors.
• Experience managing quality non-conformities and aligning regional teams.
• Deep knowledge in Software & Controls, Batteries, Inverters, Transformers, Civil Structural or Electrical Systems.
• Proactive quality systems, risk management and lifecycle improvement experience.
• Track record of product readiness and scalable launches with engineering, supply chain, and manufacturing.
• Strong analytical mindset with data-driven cost and performance focus.
• Ability to lead through influence and collaborate across functions and cultures.
• Experience with supplier quality management, lifecycle integration, and change control.
• Familiarity with QA for design changes, compliance, validation, and risk mitigation.
• 1-3+ years in large-scale renewable energy projects (100MWpeak+).
• Commercial knowledge to interpret legal agreements for regional needs.

Responsibilities

• Direct investigation, identification, and resolution of design and service issues.
• Lead global engagement to develop and use shared processes.
• Manage quality records, inspection reports, test data and NCRs.
• Support quality testing of energy storage products and system commissioning.
• Triage quality intake, reduce backlog, and drive corrective actions.
• Support product development decisions with quality-driven BI and gate reviews.
