Senior EPC Project Manager – Battery Energy Storage

Job summary

Fluence, a global leader in energy storage and optimization software, is hiring a Project Manager to lead turn-key EPC/battery energy storage projects. Based with the Head of Projects, UK & Ireland, you will manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, matrixed environment and coordinate with finance, engineering and procurement.

The role demands strong communication, P&L ownership up to $30M+, and travel up to 30%.

Qualifications

• Engineering/technical degree or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years in project/ construction management in power generation.
• Business level English and French required.
• At least 3 years P&L responsibility for equipment supply or turnkey projects.
• Experience managing subcontractor contracts.
• Experience leading a matrixed project organization (6+ functions).
• Senior Project Management certification (PMI PgMP or IPMA Level B).
• Strong communication skills with internal/external stakeholders.
• Knowledge of DS3 Services, Eirgrid Grid Code and SEM is a plus.
• Driver's license and willingness to travel up to 30%

Responsibilities

• Lead turn-key EPC battery energy storage projects from contract to handover.
• Deliver projects safely, on time, on budget, and to customer satisfaction.
• Review engineering designs, manage schedules, budgets and safety plans.
• Resolve technical issues to protect quality, time and cost.
• Coordinate with EPC, equipment delivery and partners during delivery.
• Oversee contractors and ensure safety and schedule compliance.
• Engage with customers, suppliers and senior management to meet requirements.
• Assist with project contracts negotiations and cost control.
• Collaborate with project finance on budget and cash flow.
