Job summary

PGS ULLU Paletten in Axel, Netherlands, seeks a hands-on maintenance technician to join a growing team. You will troubleshoot, repair and maintain electrical, control and automation systems, ensuring minimal downtime and safe, compliant operation across installations.

The role requires practical MBO level 3 education or equivalent, knowledge of NEN 1010, and the ability to work independently or with colleagues. Travel between sites may be necessary; working hours are full-time.

Qualifications

• At least an MBO level 3 education (or equivalent through experience), preferably in a technical field (e.g., electrical engineering).
• Familiar with NEN 1010.
• Knowledge of Dutch (and English); knowledge of other languages is a plus.
• Works smoothly with colleagues, shares knowledge and experience.
• Has a strong grasp of electrical/mechanical and automation principles to perform maintenance tasks.
• Can quickly and accurately analyze and implement solutions for faults so that machines and installations are quickly back to optimal operation.
• Preferably takes initiative and is proactive, works well independently and needs little direction to perform maintenance tasks.
• Has a flexible mindset and is decisive, able to deal quickly and effectively with unexpected circumstances or setbacks.
• Safety and quality awareness, and a results-oriented approach are personal drivers.
• Willingness to travel between the different sites depending on the necessity of interventions.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshooting malfunctions in installations to resume safe operation with minimal downtime.
• Locating faults and performing emergency repairs.
• Performing periodic inspections of electrical and utility installations.
• Assessing maintenance state and performing corrective maintenance.
• Keeping electrical instrumentation, control systems, and PLCs in good working order.
• Recording maintenance in Accruent.
• Preparing and executing modifications, expansions, overhauls and new builds per work orders.
• Ensuring compliance with safety and quality regulations.
• Being hands-on and using time efficiently.
• Providing support and contributing to sustainable business values.
