Job summary

Zeeland in Serooskerke, The Netherlands, seeks a fulltime HSE Professional to support our corporate team. You will work with the HSEQ team and management to deliver effective HSE services for operations and shore-based departments.

The role requires maritime knowledge, auditing experience, excellent English, and willingness to travel. We offer a competitive salary, pension scheme and opportunities for professional development.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Bachelor degree in Maritime or related fields.
• Internal or lead auditor competence is preferred.
• Fluent spoken and written English is required.
• Knowledge of marine/offshore operations and applicable laws.
• Experience in shipboard management or HSE in shipping/oil and gas is desirable.
• Proficiency with MS Office and databases.

Responsibilities

• Assist vessels with daily HSE matters in coordination with on-board safety teams.
• Update shore-based departments and vessel management on legislation changes and industry standards.
• Recommend improvements on HSE matters.
• Deliver proactive, seamless HSE support to meet service quality.
• Analyze accident data and contribute to SMS improvements.
• Develop HAZID/HAZOP studies.
• Conduct scheduled and unscheduled audits on shore and on board; provide reports and track actions.
• Attend client HSE visits/audits and follow up on actions.
• Draft new procedures and instructions to improve HSE(Q) performance.
