Job summary

DSJ Global in Schiphol, Netherlands, is looking for an experienced Business Development Manager to own and grow a strategic perishables-focused portfolio within air freight and freight forwarding. You will identify new trade lanes, expand across international markets, and lead customer proposals.

Ideal candidates will have 5+ years in air freight or logistics, with a track record of developing customers, expanding perishables knowledge, and willingness to travel internationally.

Qualifications

• 5+ years within air freight, freight forwarding, or supply chain logistics.
• Experience in business development, commercial management, or strategic account management.
• Strong knowledge of perishables, fresh produce, seafood, flowers, food, or temperature-controlled logistics.

Responsibilities

• Develop and grow an existing customer portfolio.
• Drive new business acquisition within the perishables sector.
• Identify and capitalize on new trade lanes, markets, and product flows.
• Work closely with operations, pricing, capacity management, and international teams.
• Take the lead on customer proposals, tenders, and RFQs.
• Represent the business at industry events and customer meetings globally.
