Job summary

JDE Peet’s Amsterdam is seeking a Procurement Director for Global Emerging Markets to lead the full procurement agenda with over €1bn spend, across Raw Materials, Packaging, External Manufacturing, Logistics, Marketing and more.

Reporting to the Chief Procurement Officer and leading 40–50 managers and buyers, you will set the strategic direction, drive cost, cash and supply performance, and shape the regional strategy in a fast-growing, global business.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of procurement leadership in a complex global environment.
• Proven ability to lead large cross-geography teams of managers and buyers.
• Deep understanding of end-to-end supply chain, SRM, risk mitigation, and P2P tech.
• Strong commercial and financial acumen to influence senior leaders.
• Experience working across GEM region and multicultural environments.
• Degree level education; MBA or higher preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead a regional procurement team across GEM categories and manage 40–50 managers and buyers.
• Define and execute sourcing strategies delivering cost savings and supply continuity.
• Build strategic supplier relationships and manage contractual agreements to mitigate risk.
• Identify total cost of ownership savings opportunities and build productivity pipelines.
• Serve as senior escalation point for suppliers and factories across the region.
• Drive procurement excellence, compliance, and alignment with global operating model.
