Job summary

JDE Peet's in the Netherlands seeks a Global CAPEX Procurement Manager to lead sourcing for major investment projects and partner with Engineering, Manufacturing, R&D and regional procurement. You will translate complex technical needs into robust contracts, drive value through lifecycle cost, and manage a global portfolio worth about €150M, delivering material cost reductions and risk mitigation.

The role requires autonomous leadership across regions, engineering teams, and suppliers.

Qualifications

• Engineering expertise is essential and must be credible with engineers and project leaders.
• University degree in a relevant engineering discipline is required.
• Experience with industrial CAPEX projects across construction, engineering services, process equipment, and packaging equipment.
• Strong procurement skills with ability to translate engineering requirements into sourcing strategies and robust contracts.
• Ability to work autonomously in a global environment with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead sourcing strategy and execution for high-value global CAPEX projects from concept to close-out.
• Provide category strategy, supplier intelligence, and governance to regional CAPEX projects.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Design and Project Management to shape sourcing strategy and challenge specs.
• Translate technical requirements into robust commercial packages with clear scope and milestones.
• Assess suppliers on technical capability, lifecycle cost, risk, and performance beyond price.
• Lead complex negotiations covering warranties, testing, payments, and IP considerations.
• Develop global supplier strategy for CAPEX subcategories with preferred panels and framework agreements.
• Drive standardization and cross-project leverage across regions and sites.
• Ensure compliance with procurement policies and governance during project execution.
