Job Description

To start with, the position of Global Procurement Director Technical & Logistics is a member of our Procurement Leadership team, which is part of Global Supply organization. The Procurement function is on the journey to a World's Class Procurement Organization delivering against JDE Peet’s Business ambition. Key responsibilities include delivering the most competitive cost & cash base, creating top-line value by building and managing a strong supplier base, and championing a culture of pride and performance in the Procurement team. The team is diverse, collaborative, and focused on learning and growth.

As a Global Procurement Director Technical & Logistics, you will be responsible for strategic direction and delivering best-in-class results in categories such as Capex, MRO, Energy, Ocean Freight, Port Handling, Inbound and Inland Transportation, Warehousing & Distribution, Co-Packing, and Pallet Management.

We seek a knowledgeable professional with strong interpersonal skills and a drive for success. Your role is crucial in creating and protecting value in our supply chain. Responsibilities include:

• Building, leading, and coaching a high-performing team (8-10 buyers and procurement managers) to develop and implement category sourcing plans that deliver tangible results.
• Ensuring development and execution of robust sourcing strategies, risk mitigation, productivity initiatives, supplier development, and relationship management.
• Identifying and prioritizing opportunities for total cost of ownership savings and driving their implementation.
• Building effective stakeholder relationships across functions and regions to maximize value and continuous improvement.
• Proactively managing supplier relationships to deliver cost & cash results, drive improvements, and position JDE Peet’s as a customer of choice.

Qualifications

We are looking for a proven track record of delivering top-tier cost and cash results, accountability, and strategic vision. Experience in a global procurement environment, direct material procurement, and understanding of your value addition are important. Additional desirable skills include:

• Experience with risk management tools
• Experience with strategic sourcing models and supplier management programs
