JDE Peet’s is looking for a Global Strategic Manager to drive the global Rigids & Glass category. You will develop and execute sourcing strategies, align with regional teams and drive value realization in a spend up to EUR 300m.

You will build robust supplier relationships, benchmark performance, and negotiate key global contracts while ensuring compliance with internal policies. The role requires leadership across functions and a proven ability to thrive in a challenging environment.

To start with, the position of Global Strategic Manager - Rigids & Glass (Global Strategic Sourcing Manager Rigids and Glass) sits in the Global Procurement team reporting to the Global Packaging Director. An incredibly diverse team that helps each other learn, grow and develop. Just how we like it! As a Global Strategic Sourcing Manager you will be responsible for a global strategic direction and delivery of best-in-class results in the area of Rigids and Glass (Spend under responsibility is up to EUR 300m). For this, we don’t just need you to be a knowledgeable professional but also strongly rely on your interpersonal skills as well as your drive for success. Know that you’ll have a crucial role in creating and protecting the impact we look for in our value chain of which Market and Category knowledge as well as Sustainability are integral parts of. With this said, we like you to take responsibility for the following tasks:

Job Description

• Develop and get alignment around robust Global Category sourcing strategies, lead execution and track benefits realization across and together with JDE functions and regional teams;
• Build effective relationships engaging with stakeholders across regions, functions and business units that maximize value and drive continuous improvement;
• Measure and benchmark performance of suppliers to ensure that JDE has the most competitive edge and value add;
• Manage suppliers selection process, negotiate & contract key global suppliers and ensure contracts execution;
• Leverage global scale to builds longer term productivity pipelines in the categories to ensure a continuous delivery against Procurement productivity targets like cost, cash & sustainability;
• Establish and maintain portfolio of strategic agreements and key supplier relationships to ensure longer-term capacity and material availability against business demand and regulatory requirements;
• Ensure compliance to internal policies & procedures and has a deep understanding of and manage compliance to the Combined Business Model.
