Job summary

AIT Worldwide Logistics is seeking a Business Development Manager in Amsterdam to expand our air and ocean freight client base. You will identify opportunities, present tailored freight solutions, and drive revenue growth across international markets.

You will collaborate with global logistics teams, manage relationships, and travel to meet clients. The role requires a proven track record in B2B sales, strong communication, and the ability to navigate a fast-paced, global supply chain.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional training.
• 5+ years of B2B sales experience in air/ocean freight.
• Strong knowledge of international logistics and freight forwarding.
• Fluent English; Dutch language skills are a plus.
• Willingness to travel and obtain security clearance (VGB).

Responsibilities

• Develop and secure new business in Air & Ocean Freight.
• Identify and nurture clients requiring international freight solutions.
• Design and execute a plan to reach sales targets.
• Collaborate with logistics teams to ensure shipment success.
• Present tailored freight solutions and negotiate with customers.
• Maintain CRM records and present proposals and industry insights.
• Plan customer visits to strengthen relationships.
• Conduct regular reviews to optimize performance.
• Coordinate between Sales, Customer Service, Operations and Management.
