Job summary

Maersk is seeking a Contract Lead for the BIM PMO with global scope. The role anchors contract governance, assurance, and reporting across capital projects and interfaces with project teams to strengthen contract management capabilities.

You will promote standards, monitor compliance, and support audits while driving continuous improvement and risk management in a multinational environment. Based in The Hague, Netherlands, with occasional travel.

Qualifications

• Proven experience managing contracts throughout the entire lifecycle.
• Experience with FIDIC Contracts and EPC, Design & Build and reimbursable contracts.
• Ability to interpret contractual mechanisms, identify potential claims and assess time/cost impact.
• Excellent English written and verbal communication.
• Minimum 5 years of contracts management experience in construction, infrastructure, engineering, energy or major capital projects.
• Strong ability to influence senior stakeholders in a matrix organisation without direct authority.
• Professional qualifications such as MRICS, MCIArb, PMP advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support implementation of the Contract Management Framework across projects.
• Promote consistent application of contract management standards, procedures and governance.
• Monitor contract health checks, governance reviews, and compliance with procedures.
• Monitor insurance, bonds, guarantees, securities and warranties; track notices and deadlines.
• Develop and maintain contract management reporting and performance dashboards.
• Act as interim Contracts Manager during drafting, negotiation or mobilisation phases.
• Provide advisory support to project teams and coordinate with Legal, Procurement and Finance.
