Our client is a leading multinational engineering services provider and general contractor who specializes in mission critical turnkey solutions. Employing over 750 professionals and deliver leading-edge construction solutions across a range of key sectors including Data Centre’s, Healthcare, Life Sciences and Technology, Fire protection, Building Services, and Technical Support Services. They are currently looking for a BIM Lead to join them on a data centre project in Amsterdam.
You will be responsible for:
- Lead the day-to-day delivery and coordination of BIM processes throughout the construction phase, ensuring compliance with the BIM Execution Plan (BEP), client requirements, and applicable standards such as ISO 19650.
- Coordinate and manage federated models by integrating inputs from design consultants, contractors, and subcontractors, ensuring model consistency, accuracy, and multidisciplinary coordination.
- Facilitate clash detection and resolution processes using software such as Navisworks and Solibri, supporting regular coordination meetings and driving timely resolution of design and construction issues.
- Provide technical guidance and mentoring to BIM Coordinators, BIM Modellers, and project teams, promoting best practices and consistent BIM workflows across the project.
- Monitor model quality through regular reviews and audits, ensuring compliance with project standards, data integrity, naming conventions, and Level of Information Need (LOIN) requirements.
- Support the integration of BIM models with construction planning (4D) and quantity/cost management (5D) workflows to assist project sequencing, logistics planning, and progress reporting.
- Coordinate with commissioning and handover teams to ensure asset information, COBie data (where applicable), and as-built models are complete, accurate, and ready for client handover.
- Liaise with the client, consultants, and project stakeholders on BIM-related technical matters, providing regular updates on model coordination, issue resolution, and project BIM deliverables.
- Assist the BIM Manager (where applicable) in implementing project BIM standards, workflows, and reporting requirements while contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Support project teams with BIM software, collaboration platforms, and Common Data Environment (CDE) processes, ensuring effective information management throughout the project lifecycle.
You will need:
- A degree, diploma, or equivalent qualification in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline, with a minimum of 5–8 years' experience in BIM coordination and project delivery.
- Advanced proficiency in Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, and Common Data Environment (CDE) platforms, with demonstrated experience in multidisciplinary model coordination and clash detection.
- Strong working knowledge of ISO 19650, BIM Execution Plans (BEPs), and construction-phase BIM processes.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with experience coordinating multidisciplinary teams, mentoring BIM personnel, and engaging effectively with clients, consultants, and subcontractors.
