Job summary

Bleckmann is seeking a Carrier Management Specialist to drive carrier performance and sourcing strategies. You will evaluate carriers, manage performance, and provide carrier expertise to internal stakeholders across operations and commercial teams.

The role emphasizes collaborating with Transport Solutions, Pricing, Service Delivery, and Business Development while monitoring market trends to propose improvements and cost-efficient solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years in transportation, carrier management, logistics sourcing, or related areas.
• Strong understanding of carrier operating models and performance management.
• Experience evaluating carrier proposals and commercial agreements.
• Ability to translate data into practical recommendations.

Responsibilities

• Manage an assigned portfolio of carriers and act as primary contact for ops and commercial follow-up.
• Evaluate carrier performance against service levels, costs, operations, and sustainability targets.
• Support carrier sourcing/selection by identifying carriers, collecting proposals, and evaluating options.
• Participate in commercial discussions within approved boundaries.
• Provide carrier-related expertise to internal teams such as Transport Solutions, Pricing, and Operations.
• Monitor market developments and translate insights into actionable recommendations.
• Support implementation and maintenance of carrier processes, governance, and reporting.
• Contribute to continuous improvements for cost efficiency, delivery performance and customer experience.
