Job summary

Planet is seeking a Solution Delivery Engineer to support large-scale AMS deliveries across the EU. You will run and oversee geospatial processing pipelines, prepare Planet data, and integrate reference data, configuring signal processing and tuning marker services.

This full-time, 12-month role follows a hybrid model with offices in Haarlem, Ljubljana, or Graz, three days per week. You will own delivery timelines and drive automation to optimize workflows.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of relevant work experience.
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• Solid working knowledge of the GIS domain — geospatial data, projections, raster/vector workflows, satellite imagery.
• Operational mindset: skilled at executing, monitoring, troubleshooting complex multi-step pipelines.
• Ability to communicate timelines and trade-offs clearly to internal teams and clients.
• Curiosity about end-to-end processes and automation opportunities.
• Highly technical mindset for learning new tools and data flows across services.
• Cross-functional collaboration with data scientists, developers, and client stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Execute end-to-end geospatial processing pipelines for AMS deliveries across several EU countries.
• Prepare Planet daily data for national/regional territories and integrate AMS with reference geometries.
• Configure, maintain, and monitor signal processing services across declared fields.
• Configure, fine-tune, and operate marker services (e.g., harvest, homogeneity, cropping).
• Own delivery timelines for contracted outputs and coordinate with clients as needed.
• Identify workflow optimizations and reusable components to reduce AMS-CAP delivery effort.
• Collaborate daily with data scientists, developers, and dependent teams to keep deliveries on track.
• Collect client feedback and translate into actionable improvements.
