Job summary

Terramira is seeking a software engineer to join a diverse team focused on geo-information and Earth Observation data. You will work on databases, APIs and vector geodata, delivering performant services via fast APIs and scalable cloud infrastructure.

You will contribute to data pipelines, APIs and platform integrations, collaborating with colleagues to deliver insights for clients while growing the company's geospatial capabilities. This is a hybrid role in Amersfoort.

Qualifications

• HBO+ level in work and thinking
• Minimum 4 years’ experience in software development
• Strong knowledge of geospatial data formats
• Experience with FastAPI
• Experience with databases (PostgreSQL)
• Experience with cloud environments (AWS Cognito, S3, ECS)
• Experience with CI/CD, DevOps and Git
• Knowledge of OGC standards and GDAL
• Fluent in English; Dutch is an advantage

Responsibilities

• Contribute to codebase and work on a wide range of projects
• Automate the production of data via our API
• Maintain and develop our API to handle hundreds of thousands of requests efficiently
• Ensure integration with our platform and other R&D initiatives
• Share specialist knowledge with the team to deliver unique insights for clients
